We made reservations for 8. We showed up early....tour was done.... and they were ready for us!! We sat up stairs in the air conditioned area, the service was fantastic and our server, from El Salvador!!, was as cute as can be. The food was fantastic and the price was right! If you are near the union station it is just 0.2 miles away!! This is a gem of a place and the staff was awesome!!! Highly recommend!!!
There were items on the menu that they did not serve. They would not allow me to order from the pizza menu even though I saw someone carry out a pizza. And we never received any refills on our beverages. We almost didn't eat there because the place was basically empty and we quickly learned why.
This is a funky place tucked away near Union Station. It's like Italy merged with the Third World. The food is OK, not great. They have outdoor seating.
I really enjoyed the dinner at Toscana. We made reservations for outside but it was raining so we decided to sit upstairs. The server was friendly and explained the options well. We had happy hour sangría and while strong it was still good. The pasta dishes were hot and satisfying. The place doesn't seem like a 5 star restaurant but that's not what they are going for. The neighborhood feel is a welcome respite from the less colorful establishments that are popular in DC.
Such a disappointment. Poor service and sub-par food. dirty atmosphere, will not return.
