I was expecting a horrible experience after reading the reviews, but to my surprise they were fast and efficient. I went in there for a new ID and passport. I was in and out within an hour. A guy called Abdul who works there was very helpful and friendly. If you have the required documents you should have no problems. Check their website for requirements first before you go.
It's been quite the wait for me too.Glad to know it wasn't an error on my part when I applied last year for dual citizenship and haven't heard peep squeak about Anything.
Kenya Embassy DC your customer service is horrible. Phones are always answered by voice mail. After 2 days of trying, I gave up and tried Kenya Embassy New York only to find out they are doing the same thing except that their mailbox is full. Do I have to come all the way to DC or New York to get your attention????
I lost my passport and needed urgent replacement. I called and spoke to James Nyatogoh he was able to guide me through on what to do. I was impressed how he was helpful. Today I went personally to the embassy to drop my application the front office guy was good. I asked to meet Mr Nyatigoh to thank him. While in his office some two ladies walked in and they looked at me with bad eyes. I felt so uncomfortable. For now I wait for my passport. Thank you Mr Nyatigoh for the help.
Sent my passport renewal application on September. Now its December. Can't travel. No passport back. Can't get anyone to answer a call. Typical Kenyans.

Here's a chance to employ volunteer graduates to help in information dissemination,put the Youth to work positively in areas such as these. Govt funded programmes that help both sides?
