Soul food for Sunday dinner. Exciting right? Nope. It's been a long time since I've had such awful food and service. Got there at 4:40 p.m. on a Sunday and should've known something wasn't right because the place was empty. We were seated upstairs with blaring jazz music. Our waitress was pleasant enough (with her visible crack)- though we felt like we were getting on her last set of nerves. She gave us our wine and took our appetizer order. The jerk wings were ok but the fried wings were DELICIOUS. That's what the star is for. Ordered the fat fries and they were nothing to write home about. I ordered the southern fried chicken and waffle with garlic mashed potatoes and collard greens. Chicken was wonderful but the mashed potatoes were too garlicky, the waffle felt like a piece of cardboard and the collard greens tasted like a green leather collar. Also, we didn't get our food til minutes to 7:00 p.m. Certainly will never visit this "establishment" ever again!!
The Star Is For My Waiter He Did An Excellent Job. BUT We Ordered Crab Cakes That They Had Us Waiting about 30 Minutes Before Telling Him That They Couldn't Serve Them To Us Leading Me To Believe They Attempted To Cook Them Knowing They We're Bad. the Chicken iOrdered Instead It Was Undercooked And My BF Got Oxtails And We Have The Runs I Def Do NOT Recommend Going There
I did the rate this as a 1, my rate was 0, This was the most dissatisfying place I've ever been to..This place needs to come off the market.. It was the restaurant from hell, the waitress was not professional, her pants were hanging off her butt.. The food was disgusting, the crab cake taste like cornbread w/squished up fish put together and the salmon cakes cooked in the same grease as the crab cake, the salmon was raw, the cardboard yams was not yams taste like rubber square carrots, the macaroni and cheese was too much garlic, they put sink water in a bottle to make it look like its fresh spring water and the catcher was they add the gratuity on the check before you can make a choice to give them a tip, Hope I don't have food poisoning, never ever again
Food great. Atmosphere perfect. Service excellent. Music... old school... Fantastic!
The service was not good at all. Only seen our waiter TWICE! It took about TWO HOURS to receive our food. Giving it two stars because the chicken wings and pork chops were good. Definitely need to improve on wait time and service.
